FAQ

What does it mean if my car was “totaled”?

A car is “totaled” when the price for repairs is equal to or greater than 75% of the total worth of your vehicle.  Insurance companies will often reimburse you for your totaled vehicle based on the “actual cash value” – the amount your car is worth if you would purchase another one today.

How do insurance companies determine what my car is worth?

If your car is stolen or totaled, insurance companies will pay the ACV or “actual cash value” for your car.  This is the amount of money your car is worth before your car accident minus your deductible.

What if I don’t have comprehensive or collision coverage on my insurance?

Most often your bank or lender will require comprehensive (theft protection) and collision (car accident) coverage if you’re still making payments on your car.  Without these insurance policies, all damages will fall to you to pay.

Who will pay for my car repairs after an accident?

Ultimately it is your responsibility.  Expenses may be paid by your insurance, the insurance of the at-fault party or out of pocket.

How fast can you get me in and out?

We here at American Auto Body & Collision pride ourselves in getting our customer in and out as quickly as possible.  The turnaround time depends on the extent of your car damage, but you can expect it to take between 1-2 weeks.

How much will it cost?

Our prices are competitive with the industry in the Tulsa region.  We work with our customers to provide excellent car collision repairs and auto body work.  We want to put you back on the road as quick and painless as possible.
