What does it mean to have a “quality motorcycle repair”?

When you think of a quality motorcycle repair what comes to mind?  Do you think about a repair that restores your beloved motorcycle back to its original glory without costing you a fortune? American Auto Body and Collision is a Tulsa based company that is dedicated to finding creative solutions to repair your motorcycle fast and without raising your insurance costs – THAT’S a quality repair! We are willing to work with you to get your motorcycle in and out of the shop quickly.

Step 1: Schedule an Appointment

When you schedule an appointment with us, we take the time to give your bike a thorough inspection from top to bottom.  We want to make sure that we identify all damage and potential problems before giving you a quote.  Your appointment will allow us to visual inspect your motorcycle for damage and other hazards so that we can make an accurate assessment of the work that needs to be done.

Step 2: A Fair Estimate

The next thing we are going to do is give you an estimate.  Our estimates are based on the extent of the damage to your vehicle, but we are willing to work with you to go outside of your insurance.  Many of our customers would rather get their vehicle fixed without also raising their insurance.  We are here to help!

Step 3: Repairs

Whether it’s a simple scratch or dent or something more serious, we will repair your vehicle in a timely manner.  You want to get back on the road. We get it!  So would we! Our technicians work hard to repair your vehicle in a timely fashion without sacrificing any of the integrity of our work. American Auto body and Collision prides itself on a job well done and that doesn’t end until you are happy and satisfied with our job.

“Quality” Defined

Quality is the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something.

Our services are of the highest standard.  Measure it against others in the Tulsa area and you will see for yourself. From our detailing work to our vehicle repairs we have a high degree of excellence in everything we do.

What about my Aftermarket Parts?

We realize that motorcycle collision repairs in Tulsa are completely separate from other vehicle repairs. That’s because unlike most vehicle aftermarket parts, motorcycles increase in value with aftermarket parts. We also realize that filing an insurance claim on a motorcycle that’s been heavily modified can pretty much guarantee your bike is going to be totaled. We want to do what is best for you. And that means finding a compromise between simply totaling the bike and replacing everything.

We are willing to go outside of your insurance claim to fix your bike with the parts that you want. This allows you to get the best quality that you can possibly get. We’re able to do things like paint and fix scratches or dents to your gas can.  Basically our primary focus is making sure that your bike comes out of our shop looking the way you want it to. That’s what we consider quality. Air quality motorcycle repairs here in Tulsa Oklahoma  are the best around.

What is my vehicle actually worth?

The biggest question you’re probably asking yourself is what is my bike actually worth? The most simple question really, but it’s not necessarily a simple answer. Your bikes worth is based upon the actual cash value. Basically this is a math formula.

The Formula for ACV

Actual Cash Value (ACV) = Replacement Cost (RC) – Depreciation

Like any vehicle, a motorcycle depreciates the minute you take it off the lot. Of course there are exceptions like classic and rare vehicles but we’re not going to discuss those in this post.  The thing with motorcycles that makes them unique is the modifications that you put on your bike. Depending upon your insurance policy those modifications might be covered underneath your specific motorcycle insurance policy. Did you suffer a loss or theft? It’s important that you get the actual cash value back out of your modifications and your bike. Of course it is great if you have proof of the cost of those parts whether through receipts or photos or some other types of document that might describe how much the parts cost.

What about OEM Parts?

Another thing to be aware of is the OEM or Original Equipment Manufacturer part. Sometimes when you replace these OEM parts with aftermarket parts your bike actually decreases in value. Of course most of the time it increases, but there is a chance that it could decrease. For instance, you might swap an OEM seat for an aftermarket seat and it may decrease the value of your bike over all.

Fair Market Value

The actual cash value factors in the fair market value. The fair market value is the amount that the market is currently willing to pay for that product. If there’s one thing that Covid-19 taught us it’s that what a bike or vehicle is “worth”  isn’t necessarily what you can purchase it for. That’s really where the fair market value comes into play. This is the amount of money that the market itself is willing to pay right now.

When evaluating a claim it’s the responsibility of the insurance adjuster to determine these things. American Auto Body and Collision is here to help you make sure that you get the best out of your insurance claim. That’s why we are here with insurance claim assistance.
